I'm Adam Calfee, a founding partner and animator at MoreFrames Animation, and the creator of Ms. Macabre's the ABCs of Nightmare Creatures. I was born in Akron, OH in the totally awesome year of 1984. I attended Edinboro University of Pennsylvania where I graduated with a major in animation in '07. Along with my partners, I helped form MoreFrames Animation Studio after graduation and we've been going strong ever since. Over the last two decades MoreFrames has worked with clients the world over, including notable high-profile clients such as: Marvel, Disney, Adult Swim, Toonami, IDW, Dark Horse, Microsoft/343i, A24, Epic/Legacy, Archie Comics, and more.

I've always desired to create an original (not client work) property and began developing what was intended to be a simple children's alphabet book in 2019. Five years and 300 pages later my monstrously overgrown alphabet book, Ms. Macabre's the ABCs of Nightmare Creatures, was complete. In 2025 MMABCs successfully funded over 10k on Kickstarter and the 1st printed edition came into being.

I live in the sometimes snowiest city of Pennsylvania, the Gem City, Erie, PA with my lovely wife and two lovely daughters who are likely jumping off the furniture at this very moment.
